Weekly Menu

The centre prepares, Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon tea, for all the children who are able to eat table foods. Children are encouraged to feed themselves as much as possible. Meals and lunches are served family style and have a multicultural influence, thus creating additional opportunities for the children’s social and language development. Preschool children environment is set up using table cloths and serviettes for meal time experiences. Mealtimes are also encouraged outside depending on weather.

If a child has any food allergies or intolerances, the centre must be notified in writing including the symptoms resulting from the allergy and the remedies and precautions to be taken. An allergy management plan should be provided to the centre from a medical practitioner outlining the course of action to be taken.

If a child needs a special diet, the program must receive a statement from the child’s doctor or nutritionist describing the type of diet needed. The centre will then make the necessary arrangements to accommodate needs.

Special diets for religious and/or customs purposes will be accommodated.
